NO MORE Young T

Young T WokOngha – better known as Young T – dropped his final album 'Philosophical Pages Volume 2: The Early Retirement' recently.

After enduring a difficult period, the rapper, who has eight albums under his belt, is sharing his side of the story through his music.

According to the Namibian Newspaper, YoungT said he went through  the hardest spiritual challenges, “I went through the hardest spiritual challenges ever. The award wining artist further stated that , he should be also unique sine this is the last album to be released, " I should be unique too since it's the last album from a guy Stating that the project was kept under tight wraps".

Young T said he worked according to the feel of every instrumental on each song. This time around, he worked with what he dubbed “the freshest talent ever”, which includes M-Gee,Fistone,ZYX, Immz Shortman and Terror. He also worked with producer and musician ChakiBeatz, whom he calls “the future”.
The 17-track project is full of messages the rapper has always shared with his fans: Positivity, persistence and prayer. “If you want to achieve anything in life, just use your brain the right way, have zero expectation of any help from anyone and, most importantly, seek God and believe in the Holy Spirit with your everything.”

As for why the 'Andiende' hitmaker is retiring early, he said life in the public eye took a toll on him. “My career was a long-term plan. I could see it all the way through because in my first The Namibian interview and first-ever mainstream video 'Get Ready – The Freestyle', I mentioned clearly that I have no intentions of staying a public person. Celebrity life is not a great life to me.”

YoungT stated, God has send him to do one thing and he has done it, now it time to move on, “Had He wanted me to continue, I wouldn't have battled so much at my end.”

The start will not produce new music but he plans to invest in a record label. The good news is he isn't completely done with music. Young T plans to start UGU Empire, a record label based on honesty and positivity. “We do not have a label that really focuses on grooming and nourishing talent in an honest manner in Namibia”
